The Perfect Pointe Book Workshops
This workshop includes The Perfect Pointe
Book developed by Lisa Howell. The workshop takes students through common tests to identify individual weaknesses & exercises to help fix them. It looks specifically at mobility of the feet, the strength of the small muscles of the feet & control of your turnout & core. This is a great opportunity for dancers about to commence pointe, to get a ‘head start’ prior to physio assessment to reduce the risk of injuries associated with pointe work. It is also an opportunity for those already en pointe to fine tune their control & test themselves to
make sure they are best conditioned for the demands of pointe.
Core Stability for Dancers Workshops
This course again includes a comprehensive
manual designed by Lisa Howell, so that students can take the information home with them. Students are taught anatomy in an easy to understand approach, so they develop a better understanding of their own bodies. Exercises are introduced to address functional stability & how to integrate this training into class work..
