Bio

A dancer since 3 years old, and a dance educator of 15+ years, Anna grew up in iron curtain Russia and spent much of her life training under the influence of Russian ballet dancers and teachers. She danced with Sverdlovsk Opera and Ballet House (Youth Theatre), Sverdlovsk Theatre of Musical Comedy (Youth Ballet Troupe), Le Sylphide Ballet Academy as well as was a teaching assistant in her teen years. She performed in numerous productions including Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, and Giselle. A competitive ballet dancer in her later years led her to expand her dance background to lyrical, contemporary and acrobatics. Anna is accredited through International Dance Teaching Standards (IDTS), is an Affiliate Member of the Society of Russian Ballet, a member of the Vancouver Ballet Society, registered AcroDance instructor through ADTA, holds Alixa Flexibility certificate and is trained in teaching Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT).
