Carlie Altmann is a clinical podiatrist at Sportsmed, Adelaide, along with being a clinical tutor within the undergraduate Podiatry program at the University of South Australia. Carlie has recently commenced her PhD within the Body in Mind Group at the University of South Australia. Her PhD centres around Chronic Ankle Instability (CAI) within an adolescent population, with particular focus on the perceptual contributions to this injury. Carlie takes special interest in active adolescent injury and performance, especially within dance and gymnastics. She has published a peer reviewed article on pre-pointe preparation in the young dancer in the International Journal of Dance Medicine and Science and has a keen interest in transitioning young dancers to this dance form in a safe manner.
