Bio

Sarah Giarrusso is a life-long dancer with experience in ballet, jazz, and modern. She teaches adults at The Brookline Ballet School as well as children through an after school program in Brookline. Previously Sarah lived in Hoboken, NJ where she taught ballet at Mile Square Theatre Dance Academy and studied with Kat Wildish, a former dancer with New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. She was also a faculty member at Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop. Sarah is an American Ballet Theatre® Certified Teacher who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.

I work with a lot of beginner adults. I plan to simplify the combinations to make sure they can establish good movement patterns. Also, slowing down the warm up and removing plank from the warm up--many are not ready for plank but ignore my offer for modifications. With kids, I'm going to add a lot more cross body movements
