COURSE OVERVIEW
There is often a huge variation in both anatomical makeup and technical capacity of students within one class, making it very challenging for ballet teachers to progress groups of dancers onto pointe. While some dancers struggle specifically with pointe range, others may need help with managing hypermobility and developing dynamic stability. Failing to address these issues before progressing onto pointe often results in these dancers struggling to progress or developing chronic injuries.
Assessing the individual dancer thoroughly before going on pointe is absolutely paramount to success en pointe and is slowly becoming more commonplace in dance schools around the world. Having a clear system that allows you to accurately identify areas of weakness, tightness and instability in a dancer allows us to give them specific exercises that will help optimise their function.
The Perfect Pointe System is a comprehensive program designed to equip dance teachers with everything you need to develop an effective pre-pointe program for all dancers within your studio, either in private lessons or in a group setting. We have included a two year pre-pointe plan to ensure that every student develops the strength and mobility requirements needed to progress onto pointe safely and reduce the likelihood of injury. The Perfect Pointe System is also ideal for Health Professionals to learn the specifics that need to be covered in order to assess a pre-pointe student for pointe work.

- This course is run over 3 weeks, with one 4.5hr session each week (2 x 2hrs with a 30mins break)

This fantastic workshop has been converted into an online interactive course. To help replicate the in-depth learning of the in-person workshops we have divided this workshop into 3 sessions over the course of a 3 week period, to allow optimal understanding of all of the contact via an online virtual workshop.

- 12 HOURS OF TEACHING SPREAD OVER 3 WEEKS: The content will be delivered in a combination of live teaching, pre-recorded content and personal exploration.

- A professionally printed course manual which includes both the theoretical components and practical exercises discussed in the course.
- A professionally printed Workshop Workbook to record your notes and assessment results throughout the course.
- PERSONALISED ATTENTION: These calls will be limited to just 24 individuals so that you will have plenty of time to ask questions.
- UNLIMITED ACCESS TO THE ONLINE MEMBERS’ AREA: During the workshop you will also be given access to the Level Two – The Perfect Pointe System Members’ Area, which includes over 100+ pre-recorded videos.
- A COMPREHENSIVE SET OF ASSESSMENT SHEETS: These sheets, available on the Members’ Area, make any future pre-pointe assessments easy to conduct.
- CEC ACCREDITATION: After the workshop, you will be emailed the CEC Accreditation Application Form, which is designed as an overview of the online course in order for you to appropriately claim CEC credits with your governing body for 12 contact hours of education.
- ACCESS TO THE RECORDINGS OF THE ONLINE WORKSHOP: After the workshop you will be given access to the recordings of the live Zoom sessions, giving you the opportunity to go over any particular part of the course in your own time.
